Precautions for use of pearlescent powder

1、 Application in coatings
Pearlescent powder is applicable to most paint systems, including oily, water-based, powder, UV curing, etc., such as automobile, motorcycle, train, bicycle and other vehicle coatings; Indoor and outdoor decorative architectural coatings; Mobile phones, household appliances, computers, packaging containers and other plastic substrate coatings; Wood substrate coatings such as furniture and decorations; Artificial leather, leather, textile and other surface coatings; Industrial decorative coatings for metal and non-metallic substrates; Powder coatings for household appliances and machinery; Body painting, oil painting and other artistic coatings.
The use of pearlescent powder in coatings is very simple. In order to make the dispersion easier and easier to use, a proper amount of pearlescent pigment is first pre wetted and then mixed with each transparent substrate and stirred evenly to obtain pearlescent coatings.
2、 Precautions during use
1. Pearlescent products can be used with transparent dyes or pigments to obtain unique and beautiful color effects, but if they are used with opaque pigments, pearl luster will be reduced.
2. The particles of pearlescent products will be damaged by stirring and mixing with high shear force or for a long time, which is the reason why the luster of real pearls decreases
3. Pearlescent product particles will precipitate when the coating is at low viscosity. Please stir again when using.
4. Due to the phenomenon of complementary colors, do not mix the rainbow color series products of pearlescent powder
3、 Application in plastics
Pearlescent powder is also widely used in the plastic industry, including injection molding, blow molding, blistering, casting, masterbatch and other plastic processing technologies, such as manufacturing cosmetics containers, shampoo containers, food and drug containers, hoses, daily plastic products, toys, buttons, sandals, plastic products for construction, home plastic decorations, etc.

4、 Application in printing ink
Pearlescent powder is suitable for intaglio, letterpress, flexographic, screen, coating and other kinds of printing system inks. It is used to make cardboard, wallpaper, business cards, tipping paper, greeting cards and so on.
